4. How do I book a safari with Pamzi?
Once you inquire through our website or email, we will schedule a discovery call or consultation to learn about your preferences. After that, we’ll send a custom itinerary and quote. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking, and the remaining balance is due 90 days before departure. You’ll receive a secure payment link or invoice for all transactions.
5. Is international airfare included?
No. International flights to and from your safari destination are not included in our packages. We are happy to advise you on ideal arrival/departure times and routes but ask that you book international airfare separately.
6. Do I need a visa for travel?
Yes. Most travelers, including those from the U.S. and Canada, will need a visa to enter countries like Kenya or Tanzania. We will provide guidance during the planning process, but it is the traveler’s responsibility to obtain the correct visas and keep travel documents valid for at least six months beyond the return date.
7. Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. Travel insurance is mandatory for all Pamzi Luxury Safaris guests to protect you against unexpected events. You must purchase third-party travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, emergency medical treatment, evacuation, and lost or delayed baggage. This is to ensure you are fully protected throughout your journey. Pamzi Luxury Safaris does not sell or provide insurance directly and is not liable for any costs arising from uninsured incidents.
8. What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Our cancellation policy is designed to be transparent and fair. Refunds are issued based on the notice provided before your departure date:
- More than 90 days before departure: 70% refund
- 60–89 days before departure: 50% refund
- Less than 60 days before departure or no-show: non-refundable
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Refunds, when applicable, are processed to the original form of payment within 21 business days. Some upgrades, lodges, or exclusive-use bookings may carry separate cancellation terms.
9. What kind of accommodations will I stay in?
We work exclusively with vetted boutique lodges, tented camps, and luxury safari properties. These range from eco-friendly bush retreats to five-star private villas. All accommodations are selected based on quality, safety, service, and guest experience. Specific properties will be confirmed in your itinerary.
10. Are safaris safe?
Yes. Safari travel is safe when guided by professionals, and your wellbeing is our highest priority. All guides are licensed and trained. Vehicles and lodges meet strict operational standards, and we provide 24/7 support from our Africa-based team. Emergency evacuation and medical services are accessible in the rare event they are needed.
11. What happens in case of an emergency during the trip?
In the event of a medical issue, weather disruption, or travel delay, we have protocols in place:
- 24/7 support from our local operations team
- Immediate communication via your guide or lodge manager
- Coordination with the nearest medical or evacuation services if required
12. What should I pack for a safari?
After booking, we’ll send you a detailed packing list. Essentials include:
- Neutral-colored clothing
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
- Lightweight jacket for mornings and evenings
- Personal medications and toiletries
- Binoculars, camera, and travel adapter
- Passport, vaccination record, and travel documents
13. When is the best time to go on safari?
Safari seasons vary by region. Here are general guidelines:
- July to October: Great Migration and peak wildlife viewing in Kenya and Tanzania
- December to March: Calving season and clear weather
- April to May: Green season with lush scenery, fewer crowds, and reduced rates (note that some camps close)
We will help you choose the best time based on your goals, interests, and destination.
14. Can I customize my safari?
Yes. Every Pamzi safari is fully customized. We do not offer one-size-fits-all packages. Whether you want to prioritize wildlife, wellness, cultural experiences, photography, or luxury, we will tailor your journey to reflect your travel style and interests.
15. Do I need vaccinations?
Some vaccinations may be required or strongly recommended depending on your destination. Yellow fever, typhoid, hepatitis A, and malaria prophylaxis are common considerations. Always consult with a travel medicine clinic or your physician at least 12 weeks before departure.
16. Will I have Wi-Fi or phone service during the trip?
Most lodges and camps offer limited Wi-Fi, typically in common areas. Mobile reception may be available in some locations depending on your carrier. We recommend informing friends and family in advance that you may be off-grid for parts of your journey.
17. How do I get around once I arrive?
We handle all internal transportation, including airport pickups, regional flights (if part of your itinerary), and ground transfers between lodges. You will be met and accompanied by our trusted team at each leg of your trip.
