Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be greeted by your driver guide and transferred to the iconic Hotel des Mille Collines. Settle in and enjoy dinner as the city’s lights twinkle over the hills.

Day 2: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Nyungwe via Nyanza
After breakfast, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a moving tribute to Rwanda’s past and its journey of healing. Continue south with a stop at the Nyanza King’s Palace Museum. Step inside this replica royal palace shaped like a beehive and feel the echoes of Rwanda’s regal history. After lunch en route, arrive at Nyungwe and check in at Kivu Mantis Marina Bay.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk
Rise early for chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe’s ancient rainforest. Come face-to-face with these intelligent primates in their natural world. Later, enjoy the thrill of the canopy walk, suspended above the forest floor, offering incredible views and a rush of adrenaline.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Kivu and Sunset Boat Ride
After breakfast, bid farewell to the forest and journey to Lake Kivu. Upon arrival at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel, relax before embarking on a peaceful sunset boat ride, passing local fishing communities and watching the lake glow under vibrant skies.

Day 5: Tea Picking and Kayaking on Lake Kivu
Visit Pfunda Tea Plantation for a hands-on tea picking experience and tour of the factory. In the afternoon, paddle along Lake Kivu’s coastline on a kayaking excursion, soaking in the views of the Virunga Mountains and calm waters.

Day 6: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park. Check in at Tiloreza Volcanoes Ecolodge. Spend the afternoon relaxing and taking in the views of the Virunga volcano chain.

Day 7: Golden Monkey Trekking and Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village
Set out to track golden monkeys in the bamboo forests of the Virunga Mountains. Their playful energy will captivate you. In the afternoon, visit Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village for an authentic introduction to Rwanda’s traditions through dance, food, and storytelling.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking and Return to Kigali
Experience one of the most profound wildlife encounters on earth with mountain gorilla trekking. Watch families of gorillas as they interact in the wild. After this life-changing experience, return to your lodge for lunch and later drive back to Kigali.

Day 9: Departure
