9 Days Mount Kilimanjaro Climb

DAY 1 – Arrival in Tanzania
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where a transfer takes you to High View Hotel Moshi. Settle in, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the adventure ahead.

DAY 2 – Londorosi Gate to Forest Camp
After breakfast, drive 90 minutes to Londorosi Gate and begin trekking through rainforest—wildlife like elephants or buffaloes might cross your path (with no risk under expert guidance).

DAY 3 – Forest Camp to Shira Campsite 1
Climb steadily out of the forest, crossing heather and moorland before entering the remote Shira Caldera—a high desert plateau carved by ancient lava flows.

DAY 4 – Shira Camp 1 to Moir Camp
A gentle trek across moorland to Moir Camp at the base of the Lent Hills. This marks a key acclimatization point with optional hill walks.

DAY 5 – Moir Camp to Barranco Camp
Cross the Shira Plateau toward Lava Tower before descending to Barranco Camp. The 'climb high, sleep low' method begins today.

DAY 6 – Barranco to Karanga Camp
Scale the Barranco Wall—the thrilling 'Breakfast Wall' scramble—then trek to Karanga Camp nestled in a high valley.

DAY 7 – Karanga to Barafu Camp
Join the Mweka route and ascend to Barafu—the final base camp. Use this easier afternoon to rest muscles and focus on the summit ahead.

DAY 8 – Summit to Mweka Camp
A midnight start carries you via Stella Point to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) for a sunrise summit celebration. Then descend to Mweka Camp for dinner and well-deserved sleep.

DAY 9 – Mweka to Gate & Departure
Descend through rainforest to Mweka Gate for certificate ceremonies. Transfer back to the lodge or airport and reflect on your epic journey.
