DAY 1 – Arrival in Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (please share your arrival details). You’ll be greeted by our team and transferred to Airport Planet Lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

DAY 2 – Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

Rainforest Trek • 4 hrs • +865 m elevation

• One-hour drive to Marangu Gate for registration and gear check
• Trek through dense rainforest to Mandara Hut (2,725m)
• Optional short walk to Maundi Crater
• Overnight at Mandara Hut (Dinner, Bed & Breakfast)

DAY 3 – Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

Alpine Meadows • 6 hrs • +1,055 m elevation

• Gradual climb with panoramic views of Mawenzi and Kibo
• Arrive at Horombo Hut (3,780m)
• Optional acclimatization hike in the evening
• Overnight at Horombo Hut (Dinner, Bed & Breakfast)

DAY 4 – Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

Alpine Desert • 6 hrs • +960 m elevation

• Cross the Saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo
• High-altitude desert landscape with lobelias and volcanic formations
• Arrive at Kibo Hut (4,740m) and rest before summit attempt

DAY 5 – Summit Day: Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak and Down to Horombo

Summit Push • 6–8 hrs ascent • 5–6 hrs descent

• Midnight ascent past Gilman’s Point (5,685m)
• Reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m) for sunrise views
• Celebrate your summit and descend to Horombo Hut
• Overnight at Horombo Hut (Dinner, Bed & Breakfast)

DAY 6 – Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate and Departure

• Final descent through the rainforest
• Certificate ceremony at the gate
• Lunch, shower, and packing at Airport Planet Lodge
• Transfer to airport or extend your trip with a safari or Zanzibar beach escape
